Rose has been very encouraging, but after hours of knitting and ripping-out (this has been going on since July) the human is somewhat discouraged by the resulting calico slug …
Tansy and Constance came along to work with me on Thursday. It was pouring rain in the morning, and pouring rain at noon, and pouring rain predicted for the rest of the day. But just at 1:30 the clouds rolled back, so the human went scavenging for equipment and confederates, and we all dashed outside to view a partial Solar Eclipse! Of course it is dangerous for humans to look at the sun without protective eyewear so we availed ourselves of welding helmet and sunglasses…note – any blurriness you may perceive in these pictures possibly due to the disrupted waves of light as the moon moves in front of the sun…ahem…perhaps.
Tansy tagged along on several shopping expeditions with her Travelling Companion, but only appears in some of the following pictures. They were both somewhat nervous about having Tansy hopping out of the pocket to pose for photos. Still, they did enjoy wandering about the open air Ladies market, and marvelled at the quantity and variety of neon!
Tansy has recently returned from China! A Hitty friend invited her along to a conference in Hong Kong, followed by a short trip to mainland China. Tansy is always keen to expand her knowledge, meet interesting people and experience culture in different places. As a well-seasoned travelling companion, she jumped at the chance to ride along! When they finally arrived after many hours of travelling, Tansy wasn’t sure what time it was, or even what day it was! She spent some hours in her sleep sack recovering her equilibrium!
We experienced wedding fun all weekend! The live MET broadcast of Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro was the Star Cinema presentation on Saturday morning!! What a lot of fun it was to watch! While sitting in comfortable theatre seats, we marvelled at the gorgeous revolving set, listened to spectacular singing and laughed at lots of shenanigans leading up to a happy ending…and of course, enjoyed slices of pizza at the intermission!
