Making Felt Dollhouse Pie

Bottle cap pie tin, felt and bead berries

We are baking bottle cap pies! Bottlecaps came from the human household recycling box; then we dug around in the felt scrap bag and found Berry, Lime, and Pumpkin filling; and a nice baked crust; and a few whipped cream possibilities, and berry beads.  Hot-melt glue for sticking…threads for stitching, and a useful coin for squishing and moulding into shape…finally a steam iron, or kettle spout is useful for steaming.

The coin needs to be able to fit inside the bottlecap – We’ve used a Canadian 25 cent piece, but a US quarter would work, as would a 1 Euro coin or an old English shilling!
