Lovely Lupin Morning
On a lovely soft, warm June morning, Ginny and Pip emerged from their tin…
.
.
…went out to the garden…
.
.
…and started climbing the Lupin stalks.
.
.
It was easier when they got up to the flower level…
.
.
…because then they could just step on the flowers going round and round the stalks in tall coils like a spiral staircase!
.
.
They learned this trick from the bees…
.
.
…who don’t seem to mind sharing the flowers with them…
.
.
…all Pip and Ginny wanted to do was climb as high as they could…
.
.
…to see what they could see!
.
.
The view, the scent, the company, the bees, the exercise, the birdsong, the buzzing, the sunshine and the adventure was glorious!
.
.
They wore their new Lupin bonnets home to the cupboard!
.
.
Cuties climb coiling columns coming close [to the] culmination. Your little darlings must have been thrilled at their mastery of such regal flowers. The bonnets surely topped off the experience.
The bonnets were the finishing touch! We understand that Lupins are called Blue Bonnets in some parts of the world – the little ones were glad their heads were about the right size, though they didn’t agree on how to wear them!
Absolutely darling photos. Your story telling ability is so touching.
Thank you! These little people have been inside their tin for too long! They were the only ones who could get away with climbing up the Lupin steeples!
So adorable!
Thank you so much! We were glad to learn something from the bees today!
There is a wonderful book called A Monk in the Bee Hive: A Short Discourse on Bees, Monks and Sacred Geometry by Skye Ann Louise Taylor that is a joy to read…. there is so much to learn about and from the bees!
so lovely… and what a beautiful plants and colours. Thank you, Love, nia
Thank you Nia, the garden is looking very beautiful at the moment! I like to take pictures to remember it when the weather gets cold and dark!
what a grand adventure and it is nice that the bees are friendly.
Thank goodness for friendly bees! We love to hear their busy buzzing and see them climbing up each flower…standing on them so they open up and sticking themselves almost inside!
such gorgeous blooms. And any adventure that includes these two wee darlings is always a delight!
The wee darlings have been demanding an outing – they usually live in their little tin so as to not get lost, but I sometimes forget they are there! They did enjoy climbing round and round the Lupins!
