January Storm

Sigh

January is not our favourite month. There are frigid temperatures and severe storms all over the place. Today in our town there is a storm combined with super high tides. The wind is so strong that seismic recorders are registering the waves slamming on the beach as small earthquakes!

What is a Hitty to do? How can we forget about the horrible weather for a spell?

Rose Rocks

Bedrock

 Rose was the Hitty in my pocket today, and at lunchtime, we left the Museum to go for a walk around the neighbourhood. At a nearby consignment store we found a wee rocking-chair! Rose rocked all afternoon both waiting for me to finish at the Museum, and then all the way home…here she is on the mossy bedrock near the Museum!

Rose has been knitting and knitting! We’ve made several pairs of Warm red socks for chilly Hitty toes, and even tried out a raglan-sleeve cardigan (Rose was wearing it when she caught Ginny falling out of the Amaryllis yesterday).
