Constance felt that she was spending too much time on line walrus-watching, and decided to go for a head-clearing walk to the beach. Opal and Agathe are always game for a trip to the beach! They grabbed their brand new beach blankets, and trotted along behind.
Constance sometimes finds herself at a loose end when the opera season is over, but this year she was introduced to a new hobby by the Hittys favourite photographer – walrus-watching.
Opal has been visiting since the fall, when her family of origin asked us to look after her while they went off on their annual nautical peregrinations. We all knew the visit was going to end some day, but both Min (Opal’s carve-sister) and Agathe (her block sister) have been dreading the moment when Opal’s family of origin return to Northern climes and sends for her. The three of them can be quite irrepressible, but there has been a wistful atmosphere in the Hitty cupboard lately.
